Shipmates. Following the A.G.M and the Presentation of the Honours Board to the City of Derby. I really must thank all who came, despite many last minute delays it went remarkably well. Shipmate Alf Cole, who stood in for our Standard Bearer, did an impeccable job, as the photographs show. Now shipmates, it has been decided that we will share with the "Newfoundland" the Tillington Hotel for our Mini Holiday in April 2015, so please book early with the Isle of Wight Tours Ltd, at the usual address. Also, as you all saw the Matchstick Model of the "Kenya", which was so lovingly made by our Ships Diver on the 49/51 commission, is now to have a protected glass casing, cost plus V.A.T will be £245. and as agreed we will pay for this. M/s Collette Flood, the Mayors Officer, is dealing with this on our behalf. When finished it will then be put on permanent display for all to see. Shipmate Lofty Coxall celebrated his 92nd birthday with us, as I understand all those who were on the sick list are making good recoveries; the Mini Holiday is the week-end immediately after Easter 2015, as Easter is an early one this year.
